BAIE DES ANGES

A very attractive solid light to medium blue with bright tangerine beards. This iris is a descendant of "Princesse Caroline de Monaco" and "Eau Vive", both blue with tangerine coloured beards. Medium sized flowers with a lovely shape. We feel that the pureness of tone compensates for the relatively small number of buds (6-7 on average).

CHARLIE

Magnificent offspring of our champion "Ravissant". Totally pure white standards and large pinkish purple falls with a large white heart, contrasting against the orange-yellow beards. Moderate ruffles, excellent branching. Pure, crisp colours. A very decorative flower.

CIGARILLO

A well balanced specimen which will brighten up your garden. Slightly roasted, copper-honeyed tone with orange beards. Excellent branching like its predecessor 'Coup de Soleil'. It features an average of 10 buds, with moderately sized flowers resulting in a harmonious balance.

CROWNED HEADS

Standards medium-deep wisteria-violet nearly plain. Falls open light blue and turn with age a beautiful silvery blue. Very sharp demarcation of colours with virtually no blending. Totally clean colours on broad, ruffled flowers with pleated fall margins. (Keppel 1997)

DREAM TEAM

An interesting and attractive combination of two different tones of yellow, each with a touch of green. Standards are a light greenish yellow and falls are buttercup yellow with numerous tight ruffles. Orange beards.(Johnson 2007)

GUATEMALA

An excentric son of "Romantic Evening" with white standards and falls between off white, brown and light copper. Bright rust-red beards add character to this amoena. Styles are white tipped with copper brown. Shafts with 2 to 3 branches, each carrying 8 to 12 buds.(Johnson 2005)

GYPSY LORD

Almost red, white and blue... Bluish white standards, broad and round deep blue-violet falls marbled with white, and a final touch: red beards on a white central spot. Tall stems with perfectly shaped flowers. The same quest of a « patriotic » iris on the other side of the Atlantic!(Keppel 2006)

KIND WORD

Stunning creamy to buff pink, absolutely plain with bright orange-vermilion beards. Superb, large flowers, strongly ruffled. Excellent well-branched stems. Good growth.(Keppel 2000)

LISERE POURPRE

White standards discreetly infused with amethyst along the edges and lemon yellow toward the heart. White falls with a purplish amethyst brim (1cm wide). Amply waved flowers with discreet pale yellow beards (average of 8 buds). The last one to flower in this year's collection.

MAGICAL GLOW

Between orange and tangerine, a direct descendant of 'Good Show', decorated with beautiful orange-red beards. A strong presence in the garden, accentuated by its imposing size: flowers 11cm x 16cm, which is quite unusual in warm-toned irises.(Schreiner 2003)

MIDNIGHT TREAT

A combination of deep rich tones. Mid-purple standards and velvety purplish black falls, whose edges are the same colour as the standards. Beards likewise purplish black and therefore discreet. Very large wavy flowers (16.5 cm x 10 cm).(Schreiner 2006)

PAUL BLACK

Excellent in every way! Ruffled, richly coloured, plain, dark to mid purple-blue flowers, contrasting strongly against the orange beards. Superb stems bearing 11 to 12 buds. This beauty is combined with vigorous growing habits and a spicy scent. Winner of numerous prizes when it first came out.(Johnson 2002)

PLANEUR

An amoena with white standards very slightly touched with blue and deep blue-violet, nearly horizontal falls, with much paler 4 mm edges. Large flowers, 18 cm wide and gladioli-style branching.

POIVRE ROUGE

Belle Moisson's sibling with standards of pale yellow that deepens near the edges. The falls are yellow with red-brown striations near the golden beards and also peppered with red speckles towards the bottom. Attractive, beautifully branched with a long flowering period.

QUEEN'S CIRCLE

Though it is not one of the most original iris, it is certainly one of the most refined. It has white standards and almost horizontal falls, white with a neat and thin deep blue edge. Orange beards, ending clear yellow. Gracefully ruffled. (Kerr 2000)

RHINELANDER

Very wavy, an excellent shape, one of the last tall iris to flower. Between bold rosy lavender and perfectly plain mid-mauve in all, a well-structured variety which is little known. A real ornamental addition to any garden.(Schreiner 2006)

ROSE DE PERSE

Pure pink standards and pale pink falls with a wide pinkish purple border, streaked with pale pink. Coral red beards. Perfectly branched stems, like its parent "Chevalier de Malte". Excellent multiplier and unparalleled flowering: 9 buds per stem on average. A cheerful, lively mixture of colours.

SANTIAGO CASTROVIEJO

This variety's colours exude warmth in honor of one of Spain's most famous botanists! Apricot standards which are slightly rosy at the centre and delightfully ruffled at the edges. Lively garnet-red falls with their peachy-rose and very precise 5-6 mm wide edges. Mandarin-toned beards and beautiful branches (8 to 10 buds on average)complete the picture.

SAPHIR JAUNE

A rare bicolor featuring pale lavender-blue standards with falls of yellow with a hint of ochre or golden yellow and thin but neat white ruffles. The orangey-yellow beards are very subtle, almost going un-noticed. The combination creates a really interesting contrast for this prolific specimen. You can expect an average of 8 buds per stem.

SATURN

Irresistible two-tone red with beetroot red wavy standards and velvety, rich cherry black falls on which the bright orange-red beards make a slash of colour. Model 3-branched stems carry 9 to 11 buds. A great grower and bursting with health! A valuable step towards a black with bright red beards.(Johnson 2005)
