ALIZES

Pure white standards and white falls with a wide pure mid-blue border. Pale yellow beards. Excellent grower and bloomer. 'Alizes' gained the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2000.

ART DECO

Excellent variety with dark violet standards marked with white in the centre and pure white falls with a clearly drawn dark blue-violet bordure 1cm wide. Very floriferous with 8 to 12 buds.

AURELIE

The cross 'Chevalier de Malte' with 'Conjuration' has given us many good seedlings, 'Aurélie' is one of them. It has white standards with lavender on their edges and flaring purple-violet falls with a large white centre. The thick red beard ends in a white spur. Well-branched stalks. Winner at the Florence iris competition in 2007.

BIG SQUEEZE

Glowing son of 'Good Show' with peach pink standards, medium orange at their base and medium orange wide falls. Bright tangerine beards. Huge flowers, strongly ruffled and slightly frilly. Good grower.

CERCLE BLEU

Very big flowers whose standards have a faint blue tinge on opening, quickly becoming pure white. Rounded, nearly horizontal falls, pure white with a wide bold blue-violet border (15 to 20 mm). Distinct, clearly visible, red beard. Robust standards and a balanced stalk (7 buds per stem). Moderately ruffled.

CHATEAU D'AUVERS SUR OISE

A very appealing Amoena with pure white standards infused with pale apricot as the buds open, and copper-apricot falls. Bright tangerine beards. The falls are vigorous, nearly horizontal and closely ruffled at the edges. Well-balanced strong stems.

COUNTRY CHARM

Sulphur yellow standards and maroon-purple falls with a narrow yellow border. Brassy yellow beards. It produces many compact flowers of moderate size (7 to 10 per stalk) and often 2 to 3 stems per fan. Extremely vigorous growth.

CROWNED HEADS

Standards medium-deep wisteria-violet nearly plain. Falls open light blue and turn with age a beautiful silvery blue. Very sharp demarcation of colours with virtually no blending. Totally clean colours on broad, ruffled flowers with pleated fall margins.

DEEP DARK SECRET

New, mysterious and beautiful ! Inky dark purple-blue standards paling towards the edges, inky dark purple-blue falls with light violet margins and long and bright golden yellow beards. Average size flowers of waxen substance and nice ruffled shape.

DEVIL'S LAKE

This dark navy blue produces enormous flowers : 18 cm x 11 cm on strong tall stems with four branches and 6 to 8 buds. Plain colour, even the beards are dark navy blue.

GOT MILK

Imposing large pure white flower with good proportions, rolling ruffles and good 'body'. The sturdy stems carry 12 to 16 buds, and soon multiply into good clumps. A champion among the whites !

GYROPHARE

A symphony of unusual tones : lilac-white standards, mid-fuchsia falls and almost fluorescent beards between orange and red which bring a very luminous touch. Balanced stem, flowers well borne and moderately waved.

PIRATE'S QUEST

The very large, well-bodied flowers are slightly ruffled. Pure golden yellow with beards of the same colour on a small white area. 6 to 7 buds and often several stems per clump. Great garden value.

POLISHED MANNERS

Deep and plain purple-violet with dark blue-violet beards. Imposing flowers strongly and regularly ruffled. Not an ordinary violet and an iris much appreciated across the Atlantic.

PROVENCAL

Cheerful and excellent plicata with garnet red standards and a yellow background on falls widely edged with garnet red. Prolific grower and classical shape. Awarded "Iris of the Millenium" at Franciris 2000.

RIP CITY

'Rip City' has everything : the colour is as close to true carmine red as any iris, the flowers are pleasantly ruffled and the thick stems have a very low branching and yield 10 to 13 buds per stalk. This recent variety is one of the best reds we have ever seen !

ROMANTIC EVENING

A unique contrast : upright lilac standards on purplish black falls with deep brick beards. It brings great qualities to the garden but it is also a superb breeder.

SUCCES FOU

'Succes Fou' is a child of 'Buisson de Roses', one of our best pink irises to date. The colour is a deep flamingo pink and the beards are coral pink. Lighter at the end of its flowering, it remains very attractive. Large and elegant flowers, a good grower.

THORNBIRD

Ecru yellow standards and greenish yellow falls deeper on their edge. Violet beards tipped mustard with dark violet horns extending an inch or more from the beards. Variety which blooms prolifically.

TOILE DE JOUY

A tall plant with good regular branching like 'Conjuration', its parent. Medium-sized, robust flowers, delicate salmon pink standards and rounded falls edged with a 7 mm mauve-pink border. Red beards ending in a little spur. A variety we are delighted to name after the famous Jouy tapestries.
